Henna Arts

MakerSpace@The Outpost, Friday, 1:00 p.m. and Sunday, 11:00 a.m.

Henna is a plant based, temporary skin dye that is usually applied in intricate patterns. The art of Henna (called Mehndi in Hindu and Urdu) has been practiced for at least 5000 years in India, Pakistan, Africa and Ancient Egypt. Work with a friend or apply to your own skin for a temporary adornment.

Friday

Hula Hoop Build

MakerSpace@The Outpost, Friday, 3:00 p.m.

Hula Hooping has evolved into its own artistic dance form over the years. Everyone has tried it, but have you ever built one? This workshop will provide the basic materials and tips to make your own customized hoop, designed by you, for you. Then join the Hooping Revolution and spin your way around the festival.

Mask Making

MakerSpace@The Outpost, Saturday, 1:00 p.m.

The tradition of making masks spans cultures and the history of humankind. Master Mask Maker, Martina Moore, will guide you through the process of painting and decorating your own personalized mask.

Intro to Crochet

MakerSpace@The Outpost, Saturday, 2:00 p.m.

Learn an old technique that can bring you hours of meditative creativity. You will be amazed at the variety of designs that crochet can offer.

Fiber Arts Maker Space

The Outpost Maker Space, Saturday, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Yarn, fabrics, string and more will be provided for you to come and make your own creation.

Prayer Flags

The Outpost Maker Space, Saturday, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Prayer Flags are an ancient practice from the 
Tibetan Tradition of Buddhism. They are used to carry blessings and prayers across the wind. Add your own saying, blessing, or symbol to the flag to empower it with a personal meaning, and then help us decorate The Outpost with these flags of intentional energy.

Friendship Bracelets

Learn this easy weave to create a special gift for a friend.

Up-Cycled Clothes

MakerSpace@The Outpost, Saturday, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
